About The Delaware Dispatch

Delaware civic life, explained with care, and paid attention.

About me

I am Travis Jack Stevens, a licensed registered nurse, former travel ICU nurse, small business owner, and massage therapist specializing in medical massage and John F. Barnes Myofascial Release. In 2026 I ran for the U.S. Senate in Delaware as a declared write-in candidate. I sing with the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, founded the CAMP Rehoboth Cares Committee, and served as Secretary of the Eastern Sussex Democrats. Years at the bedside taught me to explain hard things plainly and to check the chart before I speak. I bring that same habit here.

What this is

The Delaware Dispatch is my independent, Delaware-focused public-interest newsletter. I write clear civic explainers, careful accountability notes, and human stories, with warmth and candor. You will not find rage-bait here. The goal is simple: help Delawareans understand how decisions get made, who makes them, and where they can take part.

What this is not

This is not campaign material. The Delaware Dispatch is not my 2026 U.S. Senate campaign. No campaign committee pays for it, runs it, or is affiliated with it. I do not ask for votes or campaign donations here. Campaign history is archived separately at travisjackstevens.com.

Independence and funding

I own and edit this publication myself. No campaign funds, donor lists, email lists, or other campaign assets are used to produce or grow it. Free readers get the essentials. Civic information people need to vote or take part will always stay free. If I ever offer a paid membership, that money would go only to a separate personal account that supports the writing, and I would say so plainly on this page.

What I cover

  • Civic explainers: how state, county, and local processes actually work.
  • Accountability: what officials said, what happened next, and what the documents show.
  • Human stories: the people living the policy, not only the politics.
  • Campaign lessons: practical notes from a grassroots write-in run, never a fundraising pitch.
  • Quiet Delaware culture: community, arts, and service.

Sources and mistakes

I link to primary sources (statutes, official results, public records) whenever I can, and I separate what is verified from what is still unconfirmed. When I get something wrong, I correct it openly. See the Corrections and Consent policy.
